Namsnails
Namsnails is a Namibian company specialized in intensive snail production, using the innovative curtain production method. It is a snail farming(heliciculture) business whose activities include the breeding, hatching and fattening of snails for the export market. The main target market is Europe. Namsnails breed the Helix Aspersa Muller and Aspersa Maxima for human consumption which are exported in a hibernated state to processing facilities and breeding farms. The snails are further processed for its meat, slime and shells.
The species of production is determined by customer requirements.
Namsnails farming facility comprises of 25 000 sq. meters of housing where intensive farming is practiced. Full bio security is in place and HACCP practices are part of our daily routine.
